This tour is not cheap (you will also need to buy the city walls ticket for 35€) but still this was an excellent tour. I will recommend this to my friends and family. I would encourage this tour as a way to kick off your Dubrovnik vacation as the tour guide will share amazing recommendations for your visit. Also, this is a vigorous walk with many many stairs, wear non-slippery athletic shoes and bring a hat and sunglasses. Take breaks and enjoy!

She is extremely knowledgeable, shared related stories, and answered our questions thoughtfully. She also knew the best spots to take photos! Our tour ended up being a private tour and it was great learning from someone that loves her city. I would recommend Barbara and Ivana to anyone traveling to Dubrovnik.

She offered lots of history infused with her own personal stories from childhood into adulthood. It was obvious that she's passionate about preserving the history of Dubrovnik and educating others on why it's so important. Our December tour was comprised of my husband, our 7 year-old daughter, and myself, as well as a mother and her adult son. Ivana offered plenty of opportunities to rest during our climb along the outer walls, and she gave us options to customize the tour based on what we were most interested in seeing. She kept our young daughter engaged the whole time and was overall just very fun and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is physically able to walk the stairs and perimeter walls!

    I swam point-to-point. I started at the swim area adjacent to the Porporela pier... read more - western point. My wife carried my gear and I swam southwest to the kayak rental beach at Kolorina bay. I estimate the distance as 800 to 1000m.

    If I was to do it again, I would do it as a return trip. If going one way, I would recommend starting at the bay. It will be easier entering at the stoney beach than exiting. There are two laddered exit points along the wall.

    I am a very confident open-water swimmer. Go early in the morning if you want less wave chop.
